Sean Prestia

I am a former product manager for the Hawthorne Gardening Company; a subsidiary of Scott Miracle Gro, focused on serving the hydroponic market. I have a breadth of knowledge in areas such as finance, M&A, and product development and in-depth knowledge of the cannabis market. Over the last several years as a product manager at HGC I have assisted in the management of over 25 brands in the HVAC category. I have lead projects with cross-functional teams in engineering, R&D, procurement, and manufacturing.

I approach my work starting with data and look to convince with data. I have worked on several M&A deals and have developed complex market sizing and financial models for the cannabis industry. I am able to work with limited information to develop such models.

In my spare time, I like to read and intend to use this site as a repository of all my thoughts and notes on topics that I find interesting; from business strategy, to culture, to strategic HR and more.
